This morning my sister sent me a video of the children’s choir that my niece sings in. The song they were singing was, “Hang On” by Kierra Sheard. Little did I know, God would use this song to encourage me and from this song, He gave me a whole message. Lol. I would like to encourage you today. Despite the effects of the Corona virus, the economic hardships, and the racial injustices inciting civil unrest in our country. I want to begin by saying, “Hang in There!” We can’t allow what’s happening in our nation to steal our attention away from the Lord. We can’t grow weary towards our faith in God. We can’t grow weary in doing what is right before the Lord. We must stand firm! We must be rooted and grounded in Jesus! Our steadfast faith in Jesus is the only thing that will sustain us during these tumultuous times. Next, it’s time to stop going through the motions of being a believer. If you say you love God, then honor Him and keep His commands. As the scripture states, in Matthew 6:24, “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and the love other.” GOD is looking for those who will serve Him whole-heartedly. He’s calling the remnant, those whom He can trust with His glory. Those who aren’t using their platform to promote themselves or their agendas, but those who will preach and teach the inerrant word of God. Those who will point people to Jesus. Are you ready to live boldly for the Lord? Now, is the time! It’s imperative for us to be about our Father’s business. We must decrease and allow Him to increase in us. God, please help us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable unto you which is our reasonable service. Lord, shine through us during this dark time in our world. We greatly need to reflect your image. The world needs to see the church as peace makers. The world needs to see us (the church) operating in a spirit of LOVE and unity.
I pray we humble ourselves before the LORD and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us into godliness. Father, allow us to no longer be satisfied with business as usual. Set on us on fire for you!!! Lord, let the Saints Arise and allow us to Shine for your glory!!! We need your Holy Spirit to move upon our hearts so that we may love as you love. “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35 NKJV) I want to end by saying this, no matter what… Hang in there! Keep Your Eyes set upon Jesus. Continue to live BOLDLY for HIM and Reflect HIS image.
