How Do You See Yourself?

This word has been burning in my spirit for weeks now. I first heard this word a couple of months ago. A great friend had preached this sermon in June and shared it with me. As a result, it so blessed my soul, and since that day, I haven’t been able to dismiss it from my mind. Are you ready to be empowered and to grab ahold of this powerful word?
I hear the Lord saying, “ too many of HIS people are living underneath their God-ordained birthright.” Simply because they don’t see themselves correctly, let’s go on a quick journey through God’s word! I want this revelation to resonate in your spirit so that you will begin to see yourself in a different light.
Are you ready? Put on your spiritual seat belt and get ready to be wowed through God’s word. In the book of Genesis 3:9, God asked Adam, “Where art thou?” It’s not like God didn’t know the answer to this question. We serve a God who is all-seeing and all-knowing. God asked Adam this question to call attention to Adam’s current condition. God did this to get Adam’s attention. Likewise, God wants to get your attention to this question, “ How do you see yourself?”
God wants you to SEE yourself correctly. The way you see yourself can impede the blessings God has for you. For example, the Israelites, in Numbers 13:33, missed their promised land because they saw themselves as grasshoppers compared to the giants that were in the area. You will miss out on the promotions God wants to give you. It could be a promotion on your job, a great relationship, a ministry elevation, whatever God wants to do to bring you in alignment with your destiny. How you see yourself is everything to God. God wants you to see yourself whole. Please realize the Father made you in His image and likeness. Yes, you, son or daughter of God. The Father has called you into greatness. However, you have to believe it beyond what you currently see! Too often, we see ourselves in an improper light. I’m listing a few examples of negative ways in which our self-view can be tainted. We see ourselves through the criticism, and word curses people have spoken over us. When you were growing up, people said things like you’ll never be anything in life. These downgrading words led you to believe you don’t have what it takes to apply for this job or go to college. It could be thoughts of inferiority. Examples of this are, you’re not smart enough, you’re too skinny, you’re too fat, you’re not pretty enough, or you’re not creative. Or, you see yourselves through the failures you’ve made or whatever inadequacies you allow to immobilize yourself from moving forward. God wants to break the cycle of this negative pattern of thinking.
Are you tired of feeling left behind? Are you tired of feeling stuck? I have good news for you! You don’t have to stay trapped by a negative mindset. Other’s negative opinions of you don’t define who you are in Christ. Jesus and God’s word make up your real identity. Allow God to heal your low-esteem and negative self-worth. You are the bomb.com. Please let this sink into your mind. The healing will come as you begin to find scriptures in God’s word concerning who you are. Every time you stand in the mirror, speak God’s word over yourself. You might want to use this passage of scripture. Try this one for starters, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are your works, and that my soul knoweth right well.”( Psalm 139:14) Next, pray and ask God what scripture He wants you to recite for your deliverance. Third, ask the Father to show you how He sees you. Lastly, speak words of affirmation over yourself. The ones I love to use are: I am smart, I am beautiful, and I am God’s chosen vessel. You create affirmations based upon your own needs. As you do these continually, your thoughts will change. You will begin to break the lies of the enemies and the strongholds set up in your mind.
By the authority given to youby Jesus, declarethis over your life, no longer will word curses bind me, people’s opinions won’t hinder me, or any of the enemy’s lies. I am enough! No longer am I going to settle! No longer am I am going to shrink back in fear when great opportunities come along my way. I am going to boldly seize every God-given opportunity. The days of low-esteem and self-sabotage are over! I am worthy of the blessings the Lord wants to shower on me! I can possess my promised land. I can do it! As Philippians 4:13, states, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!” No longer can the enemy derail or keep you in bondage due to low self-esteem or self-sabotage. Hey you, you much one loved of God, you are enough!!!

I am God’s mouthpiece. I am God’s chosen vessel. My favorite scripture is, “For I know thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” -Jeremiah 29:11
