LIFE

Jesus declares, in John 10:10, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” Praise be to God for the abundant life that Jesus gives freely to those who believe in His name. Throughout the book of John, Jesus declares several times; he is the bread of life. Jesus said, in John: 7:38, “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living waters.” You might ask, What is this life Jesus is referring you to, and how can it be obtained? It’s the eternal life of God. The life God gives us is God-breathed, God-given, God-inspired, is only found through the sweet, precious Holy Spirit. In Genesis, God breathed His spirit into man; thus, man became a living being. The same exists for us today! When we accept Jesus as our savior, we become alive through the workings of the Holy Spirit. The Greek word for life is Zoe. We don’t know the true meaning of life outside of God. It’s through Him that we live and have our very being. Will we have problems? The answer is yes. However, God will fight for us and equip us with the tools we need to be victorious in every situation we might face.
The Holy Spirit is our teacher, comforter, and our helper. The Holy Spirit wants us to rely on Him for everything. We don’t know God’s will until we seek guidance from the Holy Spirit. He will lead us into every truth in God’s word. The Holy Spirit wants to assist in our everyday tasks. The Holy Spirit wants to become a tangible presence in your life. He loves you so much!!! Every believer of Jesus Christ must have the Holy Spirit flowing through them like streams of water. This overflowing is a demonstration of what it means to be full of the Holy Spirit. In other words, you are a dwelling place of God’s spirit. God wants His Holy Spirit to flow out of you in sizable quantities. Everywhere I go! Everywhere you go! We should be overflowing reservoirs of God’s goodness, spilling onto others. God’s objective is for His believers to be well established and equipped in the fruits of the Holy Spirit. The nine fruits of the Holy Spirit are love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. You can locate fruits of the spirit in Galatians 5:22-23. When people look at us, they should see the image of Jesus. Why? The Lord’s Holy Spirit is living on the inside of us.
This abundant life, the Holy Spirit, who dwells in us recharges and transforms our mere mortal bodies. The dead become living. An example of this would be the vision God gave Ezekiel in the image of the dry bones. Please read Ezekiel 37. God’s word through the power of HIS Spirit brings life. This God-breathed life enables the sick (mentally or physically) to become whole. This God-given life causes stagnated things to grow and produce fruit. ( Scripture References Psalm 1:3 & Isaiah 58:11). This God-inspired life enhances creativity. ( Scripture reference Isaiah 43:19) Therefore, choose LIFE ( Live. Intensely. Fully. Expecting) an abundant overflow of God’s Holy Spirit!

I am God’s mouthpiece. I am God’s chosen vessel. My favorite scripture is, “For I know thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” -Jeremiah 29:11
